Ever hear of swiss formulated, american technology, Nasa space age, F1 proven, Japan patented etc. Makes you somehow believe what you want to buy is actually endorsed and approved. And sometimes even makes you believe the product you want to buy, is made in the country stated, when it is actually made in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan or China.
Oh the latest rage is about Mangosteen juice, and the benefits. But read the bottle label, and you will see you are getting a fruit cocktail, with a small percentage of mangosteen. Shouldnt it be at least 50% at least to qualfy as a key ingredient or a named juice?
Imagine I was selling you a holiday package, and I was talking so much about the features of Shangrila hotel, the food, the reputation, the awards. Will you expect to stay at this hotel? Certainly. But actually, this holiday package only includes a tea and pastries on the final day before leaving for the airport. I hope you get my point.
Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware. Most times, the truth is far from the advertisement, so ask the right questions before making the purchase. Who, What, When, Where, Why and How.
